The Sears Craftsman Liftmaster 41C4220A Gear and Sprocket Assembly is the preferred way to "refurbish" your garage door opener as it quickly replaces all of the common wear parts in the opener drive system. This Replacement Gear and Sprocket assembly is for ALL 1984-current garage door chain operated openers. Repair gear sets for openers made before 1984 are no longer available. 41C4220A may differ in appearance, but is a functional equivalent to prior parts including 41C4220. If you just need the main gear and sprocket assembly, please see part 41A4220ACR. Or, if you just need to replace the main gear, please see part 41A2817-CR.
Compatible with ALL fail safe units from Liftmaster, Chamberlain, Craftsman, Sears, Master Mechanic and Wayne Dalton.
Includes: main gear, metal sprocket assembly, plastic worm wheel and Lubriplate grease. Original manufacturer replacement part# 41C4220A.

I just wanted to pass along my appreciation for the quick shipment and outstanding instructions you provided to change the main gear sprocket with the kit I purchased. Following the instruction I was able to dismantle the garage door opener and replace all the worn parts in about 2 1/2 hours. I can only imagine how much money I saved alone in labor. In fact I was even considering purchasing a new garage door opener.
