While the concept is good to be able to monitor whether the garage door is open, having to place the monitor in the garage in order for the signal to reach defeats the purpose.  Will head to HD this weekend for new batteries to see if that helps.  Too bad the ones in the package appear to be old, for the price paid you think they would have verified the batteries were good.

Prior to ordering this I have to admit that I was hesitant about how well such a devise would work but now I don't know how I got by without it.  No more wondering if the kids left the garage door open.  Now I can tell right away by looking at the monitor.  A must have in my opinion.
