A custom-made Wayne Dalton Torquemaster spring or Wayne Dalton Torquemaster torsion spring will give you faultless service year after year.

How to Identify your Wayne Dalton Torquemaster Spring:
You can find most of the Torquemaster ordering information you need to complete the drop down options and the balance weight fields above on the label located on the left side of your garage door spring tube.

The most common Wayne Dalton door models are as follows: 8000, 8100, 8200, 9100, 9400, 9600, 9602, 9700, 9800, Foamcore 37, Foamcore II (FCII or FCH), Thermowayne 36 (TW36), Thermowayne II, Thermogard II (TGII or TGH) and Thermowayne 38.

How to Order

Here is what you need to know - (1) door height, (2) door width and (3) balance weight of your door.
Sometimes the weight appears as WT (see photo example below). Typically, for a single doors 7' - 10' wide, the weight will be between 55-150 pounds and for double doors 15'-18' wide the weight will be between 125-250
pounds.

You will also need to determine if you need a single our double spring - please refer to the section and photos below to assist in determining which spring system you need.
All information must be completed in the options area in order to process and prevent delays.

The Torquemaster springs you will receive will not always match your old springs length due to the switch from an oil tempered spring to a new high tensile strength music wire spring. In many cases the spring will be considerably shorter and in a few cases slightly larger. That it is why it is very important for you to fill in all the fields on the order for to assure you receive the proper springs for your door.

Original or Plus Spring?
It is very important to match the winding end of your spring up to the product photo above
. If you have an end that is rounded and has external splines (this winding end may be made up of metal, as shown above, and can also be of molded plastic (white, black or clear)) you need to order the Original Torquemaster model, which is this model. Note that the winding end of the Torquemaster Plus model spring is hexagon-shaped. Typically the Plus spring will be found on doors manufactured after February 2007. Click here for the Plus model.

If you have a Torquemaster One spring system and would like to convert it to a Torquemaster Plus system, click here to download the instructions from Wayne Dalton.

Single or Double Spring System?
Please use the photos below to determine if you have a single or double spring system. If you are unsure, please contact us.

We always recommend replacing springs in pairs (where applicable) due to spring having equal cycle life and the opposite spring will most likely also fail soon leaving your door inoperable again and costing you additional money and freight.

What's Included:
Each Torquemaster spring comes with winding and stationary ends already installed and a protective plastic sleeve. If you have difficulty removing your broken spring from the tube you can use a series of wooden dowel (purchased at any hardware store) and a hammer to drive out old spring parts that may be lodged in the tube. Make sure the wooden dowels are as close to the inner diameter of the spring tube size as possible.

Torquemaster springs can only be shipped FedEx ground.

Spring ends where not the correct style February 26, 2017
Reviewer: Lon Turner from Sarasota, FL United States
I'm aware of the different ends, Original and the Plus , I'm pretty sure I ordered correctly. I managed to muscle off the old ends and use the springs you sent.  Seems rather odd that the two springs had such a difference in length. Manual stresses the importance of equal number of revolutions to load tension ?

GREAT!!!!!!!..... It was everything advertised and more. sale's rep was friendly and was able to get what we needed with half the info due to the painter painting over the info tag on the spring bar. Would use this company again.

Excellent service December 27, 2016
Reviewer: Josh Nelson from Spirit Lake, IA United States
After receiving poor customer service from my local garage door supplier I went to find parts on my own. I found the site and made an order for the parts I needed given the information that I had. After placing the order I received a phone call for more information, because the order didn't seem correct in the opinion of Star Door Parts. They were correct and worked me through the information they needed to not only get me the correct parts, but als at a cheaper rate.
